PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Unique combination of expertise in working with Industry,
Consultancy, Academic and R&D establishments in the
areas of Design, Research, Development and Training. Dealt
with wide range of complex engineering problems, some of
them are
• Energy analysis experience of industrial processes
using first and second law of thermodynamics principles.
Majority of my PhD and post PhD work was based on Exergy
analysis of process industries.
• Energy Audit studies carried-out for 75 heat systems
of chemical and Process industries of Fertilizers, Pharmaceuticals,
Cement, Diary, Refineries, Sugar, Ceramic and Textile
• Assessed waste heat recovery at low temperatures
and integration with solar thermal energy systems and devices
in 36 process industries.
• As Director NDRF, Instrumental in creating networking
of R&D Labs, Institutions, and Industries.
• Initiated number of activities in emerging technologies
such as Micro and Nano systems, MEMS, MAVs, Quantemwells,
and Biosensors etc.
• An extensive research analysis was carried out
on fuel cell systems. One of the projects was “A study
on Hydrogen recovery and potential for Fuel cell applications
in process industries”. As part of design and development
of PEM Fuel cells, numerical modeling & design optimization
of PEMFC was carried out.
• At University of Kentucky working on incorporating
steam traps and super heated steam modeling capabilities
to the popular Pipe2000-Steam software package that is capable
of analyzing large-scale steam distribution networks in
addition to a Department of Energy funded “Kentucky
Research Consortium for Energy and Environment” project.
